Guide to Troop Leadership
This is the Troop guide to leadership, positions, responsibilities, duties, etc. This is the end docutment that came from the Sept - Oct 2007 Training all Scouts took on leadership and positions in the troop. Want to know who does what, why, etc. This is the document for you.
Troop Code of Conduct
This is the Troop Code of Conduct agreement that all scouts and parents of scouts must agree to and sign. There must be a signed copy of this on file with the troop before any scout is allowed to go on any trip or campout with the troop.
Troop Photo release
This is the Troop photo release form. There must be a signed copy of this on file with the troop before we can post any photos of your scout on the website.
Troop Website Policy
This is the Troop website policy surrounding the site. This explains what we do and do not do in regards to your son, his name, etc. on the website.
Equipment Loan Form
This is the Troop Equipment Loan Form, If you would like to use some equipment for a non troop 167 event you will need to fill out this form and ahve it processed.
2010 Tee Shirt Order Form
This is the form for you to order troop tee shirts. It must be completed and turned into Sandi Kelly by May 17th. All the details, pricing and sizes are on the form. It is a electronic editable form that you can open, enter your scouts name, select the size and shirt type fields and enter the number of shirt and it will calculate your totals and price. Just remember you need to move off the last field entered for it to calculate properly.
Camping Information/Forms:
New BSA Medical Form
Any Scout, Leader or Parent who is attending with the Troop on any overnight trip or campout must complete one of these. Council requires us to have this form filled out (That means all fields must be filled out) before they can attend an event. This new form MUST be filled out once a year now (Nationals call not ours). Please note that there are at least 5 pages that MUST be filled out (6 if you plan on going to Sabattis). The first 4 are the National Medical form, the 5thpage is the Councils (NY State required) Over the Counter med's release that is required for any council event, and the 6thpage is required for those that go to Sabattis.
Sections A and C can need to be completed by parents and can be submitted at any time, but section B MUST be completed and signed by your Son's Doctor once a year. If this is not done your son will be restricted from attending certian events like Summer camp, National and many Council based events. This is beyond our control so please plan accordingly.
Seneca Waterways Council Adult Merit Badge Counselor Application
If you are 18 years or older you can be a Merit Badge Counselor. The steps to becoming one are easy. First you fill out an adult application and submit it to the troop leadership for approval. Once that is accepted you fill out this application while picking up to five Merit Badge's (that's all Council allows) that you want to be a Counselor for. We submit that to council for approval along with your records showing that you have taken the Youth Protection training. This training can be done through the BSA's Online Learning Center at http://olc.scouting.org. you are also required to take the Merit Badge Counselor Training which is also online but can be done after this is submitted.
